Thank you again for past loyalty to Beth and I as well as our show. Short of that we are very hopeful, God willing, of resuming in 2025. We are so thankful to all of you, especially those who allowed us to hold your deposits, in hope of our show returning in January, and will obviously refund those deposits upon you request, as we hope for a last minute miracle. We are disheartened to share this news with you, many of whom have been like family to us over the past thirty years, but it looks more and more likely like we will have to sit out another year. We have taken the time to look at other venues in West Michigan but simply have not found any viable options that time of year, big enough to host our show in this awesome West Michigan Market. I spoke with the owner this afternoon for the very latest information and he advised me that unless they can come to terms in the next thirty days, they will not have the building ready for an event of our size, to be held there by January. While we are hoping and praying to be able to continue the show in the future, we realize you may need to book other shows to fill that gap in 2024.
These latest setbacks have been a huge kick in the gut for Beth and I, as we are so excited about this new venue, which offers the same great staffing and service, along with much more space than the Delta Plex Arena, our home for the past few decades. Unfortunately, barring a last-minute solution, this conflict may end up in court which would make our ability to host the show, nearly impossible for 2024. Even though we feel these requirements are completely unreasonable, given the nature of the building history and use, the Township is dug in and won’t allow our show to be held there until which time these requirements are met by the owner.
#Hunting exposition series
While the building is being used for smaller consumer shows, the Township will not currently allow our show to be held there until a series of legal maneuvers and infrastructure demands are met by the owner of the building. The new event venue we have been looking forward to hosting our Huntin’ Time Expo in, has ran into a series of zoning issues with the Township they are located within. As you know, we have been eagerly anticipating being back in business for the 2024 show season but have been dealt a setback that I regretfully need to inform you about.
